A list of clients entertained by Oxfordshire MPs in the House of Commons dining rooms has been disclosed.

Last night, the House authorities released a list of about 8,000 reservations made with the Banqueting Office by MPs on behalf of third parties since 2004.

Witney MP David Cameron’s guests included 14 women from the West Oxfordshire Lady Freemasons in October 2008.

In addition, Mr Cameron, who has sponsored 16 events since 2004, hosted members of the West Oxfordshire Conservative Association.

The Tory leader also booked rooms on behalf of ITV — he previously worked for Carlton — the British Dental Health Association, and for the launch of National Smile Month.

One of the most prolific room-bookers was Oxford West and Abingdon MP Dr Evan Harris, who made 89 bookings in five-and-a-half-years.

Banbury MP Tony Baldry sponsored a display of Afghan carpets in the Strangers Dining Room in March 2008.
