CAT Kelly is one of 30 singers rehearsing for an Oxford choir’s biggest ever concert.

Mum-of-one Ms Kelly, of Cheney Lane, Headington, is director of Rising Voices, one of the acts performing at the Olympic Torch celebration at South Park tonight.

Ms Kelly, 31, a qualified music teacher, said the group started out about five years ago and features men and women singers.

She added: “We sing a cappella without accompaniment and we started out at the Oxford Folk Festival.

“Tonight we will be performing a version of King of the Road and other traditional folk songs.

“We expect to be on stage as part of the Festive Oxford performances from about 7.55pm and we are all really looking forward to it.

“We have performed before at the Museum of Natural History in Oxford and at the Oxford Castle but it will be very special to be part of the celebration in the park.

“With 20,000 people coming to the park this is by far the biggest concert we have ever taken part in.”
