SOME of the county's MPs went shopping as part of their public duty this weekend for Small Business Saturday.

Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds went all out to make use of the many local businesses in her constituency stopping off at about seven different organisations throughout the day.

The MP, and mum of two, tweeted about her efforts and much no doubt to her children's delight started off the day with breakfast at Cafe Bonjour on London Road, Headington.

The tour included business such as Nash's Bakery in Blackbird Leys and Beeline Bikes in Cowley Road.

The Mp tweeted for her final stop 'and of course Oxford's Covered Market is our jewel in the crown when it comes to small businesses' alongside a picture with staff at the Garden of Oxford.

Elsewhere in the county Banbury MP Victoria Prentis was also making the most of shopping at local businesses in North Oxfordshire.

She tweeted: "Very lucky to have such a wide range of small businesses in North Oxfordshire.

"Popped into Eagles in Deddington this morning to show my support".
