A STELLAR line-up of rock, pop and dance music legends has ensured Oxfordshire's Truck music festival has sold-out – four months in advance.

The weekend-long event, which takes place at Hill farm, Steventon, will welcome more than 13,000 revellers to see such big0names acts as The Libertines, The Vaccines and Franz Ferdinand.

This will be the festival's 20th anniversary and comes at a rocky time for music festival's nationally – with many downsizing or closing altogether, including Oxfordshire's Cornbury Music Festival, at Great Tew.

Truck, which runs from July 21-23, features sets by scores of acts, also including The Wombats, Slaves, Maximo Park, Nothing But Thieves, Hot 8 Brass Band, Twin Atlantic, Loyle Carner, Jagwar Ma, Sundara Karma, The Dreaming Spires and actor-and-DJ Idris Elba.

Festival Organiser, Matt Harrap said: “Truck Festival has grown from strength to strength since 1998 and, going into our 20th year, we are delighted to have sold out so early.

"It’s testament to this truly fantastic festival and our loyal supporters who have been so important to us through the years. We can’t wait for the summer; we’re looking forward to giving our guests the weekend of their lives.”

For those who missed out, a limited number of resale tickets will be available to purchase via the festival’s official website in the coming months. Organisers are advising fans sign up to their resale list via truckfestival.com/tickets/ to make sure they’re alerted when tickets become available.
