ORGANISERS have announced a star-studded lineup for the 53rd Towersey Festival in Thame.
The 2017 event will be headlined by the likes of Scottish Grammy and Mercury Prize nominee KT Tunstall as well as chart-topping singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner.
Elsewhere Eliza Carthy’s The Wayward Band line-up will feature some of the UK’s best accoustic and roots players while Jon Bowden, best known as the lead singer of the multi-award-winning Bellowhead and billed as ‘one of the most exciting live acts of recent years’.
This year’s Towersey Festival runs from Friday, August 25 to Monday, August 28. As well as music it will feature hands-on workshops, camping, children’s activities and plenty of food and drink.
Director Joe Heap said: “We have another great mix of artists this year, including BBC Radio 2 favourite KT Tunstall, as well as Towersey stalwarts who have visited the festival many times over the years. We’re very excited by our full line-up.”
