A CRASH on the A34 sparked severe tailbacks for miles between Oxford and Milton.
The collision at the Hinksey Hill Interchange blocked a lane and created a queue of northbound traffic past Abingdon and Drayton.
The lane had reopened by 7pm and traffic was flowing well.

Southbound traffic is still severe between Milton and Chilton after a lorry ran out of fuel and blocked a lane.
Elsewhere a crash on the Sainsbury's roundabout near Kidlington sparked tailbacks in both directions on Oxford Road, which had cleared by 7pm.
Congestion has eased on the A40 near Eynsham after a recovery van broke down and blocked one lane, sparking severe delays as police directed traffic.
A crash in Abingdon Road in Clifton Hampden has also been cleared.
