IT was puppy love as the Dogs Trust brought its Dogmobile to Abingdon town centre.

The dog welfare charity this week brought some of the pooches from its Newbury rehoming centre who are waiting for adoption to win over the hearts of Abingdon shoppers.

Ten-year-old Phoebe Timmins got that puppy dog look in her eyes when she met Nigel the Lurcher.

Dogmobile manager Mal Green said: "The Dogmobile is a fun, interactive way to help people find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the brilliant work of Dogs Trust.

"While dogs are not directly rehomed from the Dogmobile, if you do find that it’s puppy love after meeting our adorable doggies, we encourage you to visit our centres to find out more about making a new best friend.

"You’ll also be able to find out about the charity’s fantastic ‘Sponsor a Dog’ scheme and how you can make a difference by volunteering at your local Dogs Trust centre."
