SCYTHING will be taught on a one-day course in South Oxfordshire.
National expert Nigel Adams, who has scythed the wildflower meadow on Prince Charles' estate at Highgrove, will lead the class at Aston Rowant nature reserve near Watlington on Saturday, July 9.
The course is open to anyone with an interest in learning the technique which is a common way to manage wildflower meadows, nature reserves, orchards, churchyards, nettle patches and even lawns.
The course will use lightweight, adjustable Austrian scythes and will cover all the basics.
Book a place online at chilternsaonb.org/events or call Neil Jackson on 01844 355523.
