WITNEY residents - now's your chance to say what you really think of services provided by the town council.

The council has designed a survey to find out what local people think about elements of the town, such as the splash park on The Leys, the street furniture, the cemeteries, the Corn Exchange and more.

As well as the survey, residents will also be able to come along to the annual town meeting on March 9 to give their views.

Councillor Chris Woodward, chairman of the communications steering group at the council, said: "At the last few annual town meetings the public that have attended have expressed a desire for the town council to find more effective methods of communication between the council and the public.

"This town council has taken this challenge seriously and explored new ways to reach the widest possible audience and make better connections with their electorate."

The survey is being delivered to every household in the town through a variety of media in order to allow everyone a voice.

Mr Woodward added: "With current services and local authority spending under increasing pressures and scrutiny it is only right that the council strives to get as much feedback as possible so that we can tailor the way in which we deliver our services in the future.

The survey will close on April 30. Anyone taking part must live in Witney.
