Thames Valley Police have released a CCTV image in relation to an assault which took place outside a pub in Oxford. 

Two men left the Bell and Compass pub in New Road at around 1.30am on Sunday September 20. 

One of the men elbowed the other in the face, knocking him back into a wall. 

The man, who was in his fifties, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospitalbut was later discharged.

Investigating officer PC Craig Finch of the Neighbourhood Team said: “We have released a CCTV image of man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident as we believe he may have information that can help us with our enquiries.

“We would ask anyone who has information to contact us on 101.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
