UKIP candidate Nigel Farage has been transferred to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital, according to his campaign office.
Mr Farage was injured this morning when a light aircraft he was using for an election stunt crashed into the ground.
He was in the plane, which was towing a banner bearing the slogan "Vote for your country - Vote UKIP" when it went down at an airfield in Northamptonshire.
Mr Farage suffered minor head injuries.
The MEP, who is standing in the General Election in Buckingham, was taken to hospital following the crash at Hinton-in-the-Hedges airfield, near Brackley.
The plane went down just after 8am, also injuring the pilot, who was airlifted to hospital.
Former UKIP leader Mr Farage was originally taken to Horton General Hospital in Banbury but party spokesman Meg Scully said he had been transferred to a bigger hospital that could cope with the level of press interest.
