2- Tributes have been paid to a man who died after his car hit a tree. Sheldon Thomas has been named locally as the victim of the incident in Parks Road yesterday.
3- More on-call firefighters are needed to save lives. Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service has urged people to come forward amid warnings its 24/7 cover is under threat due to shortages.
4- Oxford University Parks to open cafe. But there will be no alcohol for now after plans to serve booze were shelved. The shop will open this week.
5- Tolkien map to stay in Oxford. A rare map of Tokien's Middle-earth is to stay in the city after going on sale in October.
