THREE football fans travelled through Oxford using unconventional transport, including a punt, to raise money for Helen and Douglas House hospice.
Cris Bowden, 34, his father-in-law Steve Hall, 57, and friend Richard Eldred, all from the Newbury area, are undertaking a challenge for the East Oxford hospice.
It involves 50 different modes of unconventional transport to take the team to the grounds of all 43 FA Cup-winning teams.
The trio have now completed the Oxford leg of their journey. They travelled from Hungerford in Berkshire to Magdalen Bridge by VW camper van before going on an Oxford Punting Company punt, rowing boat and pedalo.
The team then travelled by pedicab rickshaw to Iffley Sports Ground, and they walked to the hospice in Magdalen Road.
Their inspiration came when Mr Hall’s neighbour Ellie, now six, was left severely disabled by a debilitating infection. Hospice staff have since supported the family.
