Recycling officer Andrew Jenkins
RECYCLING officer Andrew Jenkins said a council compost giveaway was to thank residents for their “bags” of enthusiasm for doorstep recycling.
Cherwell District Council is holding its annual compost giveaway and is offering 2,500 free bags.
The 30 tonnes comes from Agrivert’s waste recycling facility at Ardley, which last year made 18,000 tonnes of compost from the district’s waste.
The bags will be given away at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, tomorrow, and at Bodicote House, in White Post Road, Bodicote, on Sunday, both from 9am to 1pm.
Mr Jenkins said: “It is to thank residents for their hard recycling and composting efforts.”
Bags are limited to district residents only and one bag per household.
