The 33-mile stretch of the Oxford Canal in Cherwell district now has conservation area status. Cherwell District Council this week approved the status, meaning tougher restrictions on changes along or near the canal. Councillor Michael Gibbard said: “The Oxford Canal is a delightful feature.”
