PARENTS with views on plans to expand Botley School to take more pupils have a final chance to respond.

Oxfordshire County Council yesterday published a statutory notice on the plans, which would eventually see the school taking up to 420 pupils, compared to its roll of 271 in May.

The school, which currently takes up to 45 pupils a year, agreed to take 60 children at the start of this school year.

That could now become permanent from next September.

The statutory notice is published following consultation.

Just 17 responses were received, 10 supporting the proposal in principle, six opposing it in principle and one neutral.

Interested parties now have until Tuesday, October 30, to respond to the statutory notice.

Comments can be made online at oxfordshire.gov.uk/consultation, and by emailing statBotley2012-manager@myconsultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk.

Alternatively, comments cam be sent in writing to Diane Cameron, school organisation and planning, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, FREEPOST.
