FULL steam ahead! Young Toby Wilde was fascinated by the intricate designs on show at Banbury and District Model Railway Club’s annual exhibition.

Toby, aged six, was among 1,300 visitors who enjoyed 12 layouts, including the London Underground and GWR, at Banbury Academy on Sunday.

His father Chris, from Yardley Gobion, near Milton Keynes, said: “He loves model railways. We have to buy more trains now!”

Club chairman Malcolm Smith said: “This was a crunch time as to whether it was financially viable to do in future years. The general consensus of opinion within the club was that we think we may give it another go.”
