  • Irene Curtis, 31, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Abingdon Road, Oxford, on August 30. Six week prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
  • Otis Galloway, 43, of Harolde Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a Blackberry mobile phone worth £99.97 from Tesco in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on August 15. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Michael King, 20, of Thomson Terrace, Oxford, convicted of assault in Oxford on December 19. Must complete 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £200 costs.
  • Darren Sanders, 44, of The Hamel, Oxford, admitted stealing shower cream from Ardens Newsagents, Gloucester Green, Oxford, on August 24. Admitted shoplifting £48 worth of pants and socks from BHS in Queen Street, Oxford, on August 24. And admitted stealing two bottles of whiskey and two bottles of vodka from Sainsbury’s in Westgate shopping centre, Oxford, on July 13. Also admitted shoplifting painkillers from WH Smiths in Oxford Rail Station between June 16 and June 22. Sentenced to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.

BANBURY

  • Andrew Nesbitt, 34, of no fixed address, admitted attempting to enter a home in Southam Road, Banbury, with intent to steal on August 24.Also admitted failing to provide a breath specimen to police for analysis at Banbury Police Station and damaging a car door belonging to Thames Valley Police on August 9. Also admitted driving without a licence and third party insurance in Locheed Close, Banbury, on August 8. Sentenced to 22 weeks in prison and banned from driving for life.
  • Kala Khan, 61, of Albert Street, Banbury, admitted failing to give information about the identity of the driver alleged to be guilty of an offence between November 11 and 12. Fined £350, £15 victims’ surcharge, £80 costs, six points on licence.
  • Matthew Blencowe, 22, of Horspath Driftway, Oxford, admitted sexually touching a woman over 16 without her consent on March 4 in Banbury. Community order for 12 months of mental health treatment and told to sign sex offenders’ register for five years.
  • Samantha Carey, 27, of Parsley Place, Banbury, convicted of assault by beating on November 6 in Bicester. Community order made and banned from entering any licensed premises in Bicester or Banbury for six months, £100 compensation, £200 costs.
  • Paul Williams, 44, of Gatteridge Street, Banbury, admitted racially aggravated abuse on July 20 in Banbury. £100 compensation and £30 costs.
  • Robert Sestanovich, 32, of Spruce Driver, Bicester, convicted of actual bodily harm on Bicester on August 20, 2011, and admitted assault by beating in Bicester on August 20, 2011. Sentenced to 26 weeks in prison suspended for two years, £300 compensation, £965 costs, and £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Angus Clark, 73, of Berry Lane, East Hanney, convicted of failing to give information about the identity of a driver alleged to have committed an offence between November 9 and December 8 in Banbury. Fined £165, £15 victims’ surcharge, £85 costs, and six points on licence.
  • Fabio Caires, 29, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting £1,700 worth of clothes from Moncler, Bicester Village, on August 30. Six weeks in prison.
  • Aaron Joines, 25, of Well Bank, Hook Norton, admitted using threatening words and behaviour in Middleton Road, Banbury, on August 5. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.
  • Leisha Kane, 27, of Northumberland Court, Banbury, admitted threatening abusive or insulting words on August 13 in Northumberland Court, Banbury. Conditional discharge for 12 months and told to pay £40 costs.
  • Jessica Tustain, 20, of Howard Road, Banbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour in Middleton Road, Banbury, on August 5. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.
  • Robert Hunter, 61, of Union Street, Banbury, convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on Banbury on April 17. Conditional discharge for six months.
  • Joe Simmonds, 23, of Trinity Close, Bicester, admitted shoplifting two bottles of wine valued at £15 from Co-op in Bicester on August 5. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £15 compensation.
  • Ben Webber, 31, of Valentia Close, Bletchingdon, admitted shoplifting meat valued at £12.90 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford Road, Kidlington, on July 28. Given a year’s conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs.
  • Adam Williams, 32, of Freehold Street, Lower Heyford, Bicester, admitted causing criminal damage to car tyres valued at £100 in Austen Walk, Bicester, on July 21 and causing criminal damage to car tyres valued at £350 in Wear Road, Bicester, on the same date. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs and a total of £1,347.51 in compensation.
  • Peter Phillips, 32, of Market End Way, Bicester, admitted causing criminal damage to car tyres valued at £100 in Austen Walk, Bicester, on July 21 and causing criminal damage to car tyres valued at £350 in Wear Road, Bicester, on the same date. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs and a total of £1,349.52 in compensation.
  • David Hunt, 36, of no fixed address, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) and wasting police time in Bicester on May 11. Given 150 hours’ unpaid work and a year’s supervision.
  • Paul Bromley, 39, of Croxford Gardens, Kidlington, admitted shoplifting three joints of meat valued at £34.05 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford Road, Kidlington, on August 10. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Andrea Mincher, 24, of George Street, Banbury, admitted shoplifting DVDs and clothing valued at £218.25 from BHS in Castle Quay, Banbury, on August 18. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 costs.
  • Glen Ford, 43, of Nuffield Close, Bicester, convicted of having a blade or sharply pointed article in public, namely a lock knife, in Buckingham Road, Bicester, on February 29. Given a 12-month supervision order with 100 hours’ unpaid work and to pay £100 costs.
  • Dean Simmons, 38, of Stocks Lane, Carterton, convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause fear of immediate unlawful violence in Banbury on December 18, 2011. Fined £500, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £315 costs.
