FIREFIGHTERS have been cooling cylinders of acetylene overnight before lifting a 200m cordon in the village of Little Tew.
The fire service will reassess whether to allow the residents back home at 2pm, 24 hours after emergency services were first called to an outbuilding in Enstone Road.
An infrared thermometer will be used to check whether the cylinders have cooled.
Acetylene is highly explosive once it has been heated and continues to be explosive even after the heat source is removed.
