£4m target for air ambulance
11:20am Saturday 25th August 2012 in News
The air ambulance service will soon be able to fund specialist doctors on flights if it reaches a £4m donation target.
The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance (TVCAA) also hopes to fly longer hours if it can reach the figure through public donations.
It costs the service, which covers Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Bucks, more than £2,000 for every mission, with about three deployments a day.
The TVCAA relies entirely on public donations.

s/29349 asking the government to give back the VAT they charge the air Ambulance charities on their Fuel Bills. In a debate on these charges the Secretary to the Treasury said he would hold a review into these payments because they are wrong but seems to be going back on his word. Please ask your MP to ask the treasury what is happening with the promised review?
