THAMES Valley Police officers and Oxfordshire-based soldiers will not plug the security gap left by private contractor G4S at the Olympic Games.
Police and Ministry of Defence spokesmen confirmed no Oxfordshire-based personnel would be diverted to make up the shortfall in security guards at Games venues in and around London.
