My daughter Leila Nicholson (7) met Raymond Blanc as he waited for his section of the Olympic Torch Relay this morning in Wallingford.
Leila goes to RAF Benson Community Primary School where the headmistress Mrs Fawdry had given all the children the morning off so that they could go and see the Olympic Torch as it passed through Wallingford.
We got up early so we could pick a good place to see everything and were really lucky that Raymond Blanc was right in front of us as he got ready for his Moment To Shine. He was really excited and proud to be able to carry the torch and my daughter was thrilled to meet him and to hold the torch too.
