Back-to-back bike rides boost funds
CYCLIST Chris Gullick, 45, completed an 80-mile challenge in seven hours in memory of his father.
The Banbury resident cycled 60 miles through London for Parkinson’s UK Nightrider challenge.
He set off at 2am on Sunday, June 10, finished at 6am, and then began a 20-mile challenge in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, at 9am.
The rides raised £350 in memory of father Ernie, who had the neurological disease for 11 years and died in 2005, aged 71.
Mr Gullick said: “I thought it would be great to take on two events in succession. Amazing driving by my wife Isobel got me to Stratford-upon-Avon just in time.”
Paul Jackson-Clark, of Parkinson’s UK, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Chris.”
