A 23-year-old woman from the Bicester area died in hospital this morning after a car crash yesterday.

The woman, who was driving a silver MG ZR, was involved in a two-car collision in Quainton, Buckinghamshire at about 7.20am.

Police said she was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but died in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 46-year-old man from the Aylesbury area, suffered minor injuries and has been discharged from hospital.

Investigating officer PC Russell Irwin, of the Roads Policing Joint Operations Unit in Milton Keynes, is appealing for a female nurse who stopped at the scene to help the woman to come forward.
