Ah Diddums. It is a shame (if not a crime) that he hasn't come out and said that he was completly mortified at the deaths of all of his future subjects killed in all the (stupid) conflicts that we are involved in. What a caring king you will make sir. (but obviously only to your friends)

You what? Prince Charles has regularly paid tribute to all fallen soldiers at memorial services throughout the world, and is the patron of the War Widows Association, the Royal Naval Benevolent Trust and the Armed Forces Memorial to name just a few.

Of course he is going to make an individual comment when a personal friend is killed, but only the smallest and pettiest of minds would interpret such a display of normal human decency to mean that the Prince only regrets the deaths of his friends.
