A week of events designed to celebrate the efforts of servicemen and women starts in Carterton today.
Forces Week, which runs between March 24 and March 31, is organised by the Yellow Ribbon Foundation, set up by Carterton residents Emma Cheedy and Victoria Evans.
This is the third year the event has taken place in the town.
The event sees shops and businesses provided with posters, balloons, yellow ribbons and the foundation’s mascots Combat Bear and Combat Bear Cadet.
