Construction work has begun to build 150 homes at a development in Didcot.

The Oaks at Hadden, a project by housebuilder Miller Homes, spans 36 acres of land off Lady Grove.

The first homes are set to be released for sale this summer.

Once completed, the development will include 60 affordable properties, a new country park, more than 400 newly planted trees and a playground.

The development will comprise a mix of one to four-bedroom homes.

Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director of Miller Homes Southern, said: "With work now firmly underway at The Oaks at Hadden, we are looking forward to seeing the development take shape and stand proudly within the Didcot community."

She added: "Plus, with the benefit of Didcot’s attractive location on the fringes of Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and our development’s position adjacent to Hadden Hills Golf Club, there’s so many reasons to be excited about what’s to come at The Oaks at Hadden.

“We will release the first of our homes here for sale via an online launch on the Miller Homes website, so anyone who is interested should register their interest with us."

The developer will also pay £2.5 million to education facilities across Didcot as part of its agreement with South Oxfordshire District Council.

A show home is set to open at the development later this year.
