Fresh plans have been submitted for a new gourmet food service at a sports club.

South African catering company The Filthy Moustache intends to serve food at the Chinnor Rugby Football Club in Thame to complement the club's own catering provision.

Pop-up takeaway options would also be available for users of the clubhouse as well as the general public.

A planning paper states: "The Filthy Moustache UK Ltd’s proposal for a single container food service unit fits within Chinnor Rugby Football Club’s long-term aspiration to enhance and improve visitor and player experience at the club site.

"This in turn improves the attractiveness of the club to new players, members and visitors, and its sustainability as a growing community sports club within the heart of the local community.

"It makes economical and effective use of land immediately adjacent to the clubhouse."

The food service unit would comprise a single shipping container repurposed to provide a "bespoke" kitchen and serving space.

It would be painted black with a local area of external timber cladding at the servery counter position.

Rugby matches are played at the Chinnor Rugby Football Club site throughout most of the year.

The clubhouse building is used during the daytime and evenings for community classes and as a meeting place for organised and ad-hoc groups.

The club's facilities include yoga, gym and an art class.
