One of the country’s oldest family homes reopened its gates for half term with an exciting activity for children.
Tumblestone Hollow is a magical adventure playground created to spark children's imagination and encourage exploration.
Children can explore the treetops and forest floor while unlocking the secrets of the play area.
Ailsa, Lady Camoys, custodian of Stonor Park said: “Day by day, we are getting closer to lighter evenings and sunnier days, and February half term marks a turning point in the year where we let ourselves get a little bit excited for the new season ahead and all the adventures yet to come.
“Families are itching to get back outside and have some fun, breathe in the fresh air and use their imaginations and creativity - our playground is the ultimate place to do this.”
It is said that five special characters, Pebble, Grit, Obsidian, Jem and Flint live at Tumblestone Hollow, guard the magical powers of the mystical stone circle.
The playground brings to life the stories of magical creatures that feature in Stonor’s children’s books, The Legend of Tumblestone Hollow and The Moon Witch and The Thief, written by children’s author Amy Sparkes.

Ms Sparkes said: “We love it when guests are fully immersed in the magic of Tumblestone Hollow and enjoy our beautiful children’s books.
“They highlight the adventures of the characters who are said to live at Tumblestone Hollow and are the perfect opportunity to extend the fun at home with story time.”
The Tumblestone Hollow adventure does not stop at the playground and guests are able to dine at the restaurant The Rumble Hut which serves pizzas cooked in a wood-fired Gozney oven.
Gluten free and vegan pizzas options are on offer, as well as traditional favourites such as pepperoni and Napoli pizzas.
Stonor Park has recently launched annual memberships which allow unlimited access to the adventure days and Stonor gardens.
The house has been owned by the Stonor family for 850 years which makes it one of the oldest family residences in the UK.

Stonor Park is surrounded by 250 acres of grounds and gardens that were constructed on the site of an ancient stone circle.
Other family activities at Stonor include a restored WWII air raid shelter and walking the paths of the Chiltern Way that cross through the park.
Tickets to Tumblestone Hollow start from £10 for anybody over 105cm, from £8 for 92cm to 105cm and anyone under 92cm and adult carers enter for free.
They must be booked in advance on the Stonor Park website.
