POLICE in Oxfordshire have issued advice to drivers who have hit an animal in the road.
There are many animals that do no require a report, but officers in the county have helpfully given guidance on which ones require a call to the police.
Motorists must alert TVP - or any other police force, depending on area - if they hit:
- dogs
- horses
- cattle
- pigs
- goats
- sheep
- donkeys and mules
Incidents must be reported as soon as possible, regardless of whether the animal is dead or alive.
