THE lesser-known little sister of Truck Festival stirred the South Oxfordshire countryside with an eclectic line-up of music and movement.

From yoga sessions to crochet crafts or crooning at the feet of rock, folk and country musicians, families were not stuck for entertainment at Wood festival.

This weekend saw the event, which shares organisers with Truck, return to Braziers Park in Ipsden for its 10th year.

The sold-out festival near Wallingford boasts some of the best green credentials in Europe, as one of just a handful to have been given a four-star 'outstanding' rating by international organisation A Greener Festival.

It plugs itself as a family-friendly and environmentally-friendly celebration of music and nature, run entirely on renewable energy.

A packed programme unfolded on Friday, Saturday and yesterday in the park in the Chiltern Hills, which is part of an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Attendees got to enjoy workshops such as poetry writing, hand massage, skateboard building, making a wormery, thatching and the art of perceiving auras.

There was also a wealth of musical talent including London-based folk rock band Treetop Flyers, who have previously played at big-name festivals such as Glastonbury and Cropredy.
