OXFORDSHIRE residents can bag discounts of up to 50 per cent at attractions across the county as part of a weeklong celebration of English Tourism.

Until Sunday people who live here can take advantage of discounts from key attractions, hotels, shops and tour companies.

The initiative was launched by Experience Oxfordshire as part of VisitEngland’s English Tourism Week.

It is designed to encourage residents to explore the county’s array of things to do and see.

Commenting on the launch of the campaign, Hayley Beer-Gamage, chief executive of Experience Oxfordshire, said: “English Tourism Week marks the beginning of the main tourism season in the UK. In Oxfordshire, we want to celebrate the week by promoting all there is to see and do in Oxfordshire to the people who live in the county.”

Each spring English Tourism Week campaigns to celebrate the value and quality of tourism within England.

This year, offers exclusively for locals include 50 per cent off all public Oxford River Cruises, free tea or coffee after a visit to the Waterperry Gardens and a two-for-one Oxford Harry Potter Tour.

To find out about all the offers, residents should visit experienceoxfordshire.org/english-tourism-week-oxfordshire-2018/ or follow Experience Oxfordshire on social media.

Those who take part are urged to share adventures throughout the week using the hashtags #ETW18 and #ExperienceOx.
