BANBURY MAGISTRATES'

BEN LAWSON, 39, of High Street, Bodicote admitted harassing a woman via text messaging and posting malicious messages on social media between September 14 and 27. He was also convicted of assaulting a man by beating him at Banbury Railway Station on May 21. He was sent to prison for 6 weeks and 12 weeks, both suspended for 24 months and was given a restraining order. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £620.

ADAM MARK W CHAMBERS, 28, of Robins Way, Bodicote, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have committed an offence between May 5 and June 2. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

WOJCIECH JAWORSKI, 33, of Mendip Heights, Didcot admitted drink driving in the A4095 in Bladon on December 2. Had 79mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He was fined £323 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.

CHARLOTTE LINDSAY, 19, of George Street, Banbury admitted causing criminal damage to a door and assaulting two police officers at the Foyer in George Street on December 3. A community order was made and she must attend rehabilitation activity. She must also pay compensation of £200.

LAURENTIU NASTAC, 54, of Herald Way, Bicester admitted drink driving in Skimmingdish Lane, Launton on November 25. Had 73mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He was fined £345 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months.

CHARLES ANTHONY CONNOR, 37, of Oxford Road, Kidlington, admitted damaging an internal kitchen door of unknown value in Oxford Road, Kidlington on December 19 and using threatening and abusive words or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harrassment, alarm or distress at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington on December 19. He also admitted assaulting an officer at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington on December 19. He was fined £100, £50 and £150 for the three offences. He must also pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

VICTORIA JANE PRICE, 28, of Campbell Close, Bicester, admitted stealing two air wick kits worth £9.68 from the Co-Op shop in Bicester on July 14. She must pay compensation of £9.68 and court costs of £85.

ANDREW WARDEN, 51, of Sires Hill, North Moreton was convicted of failing to give information about a driver alleged to have committed an offence between March 17 and April 14. He was fined £450 and must pay a victim surcharge of £45 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

ALISTAIR KERR, 51, of Nine Acres Close, Charlbury admitted drink driving in Cheltenham Road, Burford on December 7. Had 83mcg of alcohol in ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He also admitted using a vehicle without insurance in Cheltenham Road, Burford on December 7. He was fined £125 twice and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.

CEM BAYEZIT, 39, of Market Place, Banbury, admitted operating the food business Mexpark Ltd which failed to comply with hygiene requirements and failed to ensure adequate procedures were in place to control pests in Market Place, Banbury between November 4 2016 and May 31 2017. He also admitted failing to protect food against any contamination in Market Place, Banbury between November 4 2016 and November 16 2016. He was fined £400 and £800. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £80 and court costs of £1500.

VACLAV OPLUSTIL, 25, of Cleveland Drive, Oxford was convicted of speeding at 39mph, exceeding the 30mph limit in Marston Road, Oxford on June 2. He was fined £76 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. He was also given three points on his licence.

NATASHA OWEN, 31, of Eastfield Road, Witney was convicted of speeding at 40mph exceeding the limit of 30mph in Marston Road, Oxford on June 8. She was fined £134 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. She was also given three points on her licence.

ADAM SWEETINGHAM, 32, of Worcester Road, Chipping Norton was convicted of failing to give information relating to the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have committed an offence between September 19 and October 17. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. He was also given six points on his licence.

GLADYS WANGECA, 41, of Dynham Place, Oxford was convicted of failing to give information relating to the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have committed an offence between July 21 and August 18. She was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. She was also given six points on her licence.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES'

ZARA HASTINGS, 38, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted assaulting two women by beating them and damaging a police car in Astrop Lane, Oxford, on October 23. Given a community order requiring nine months of rehabilitation and treatment for alcohol dependency and ordered to pay £85 costs.

KHALID ISLAM, 36, of Holland Place, Oxford, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Oxford on October 15. Ordered to take part in a 31-day Building Better Relationships programme and pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

KALSOOM RANA, 46, of East Avenue, Oxford, admitted assaulting two women by beating them in Longmead, Abingdon, on September 17. Ordered to take part in a 35-day rehabilitation programme and pay £250 compensation and £85 costs. Also given a Restraining Order against contacting a woman until May 8, 2018.

ROBERT WHITING, 35, of Aldbarton Drive, Oxford, was convicted in his absence of assaulting a woman by beating her at Bury Knowle Park in Oxford on May 20. Also convicted of committing a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence for possessing an offensive weapon, namely a length of wood with nails in it, in Gladstone Road, Headington. Suspended sentence of eight weeks imprisonment activated. Also ordered to take nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and pay an £85 victim surcharge and £40 costs.

LESLIE WILLIAMS, 35, of no fixed address, admitted stealing two laptops, 200 cigarettes, alcohol and a gold ring from a cottage in Church Street, West Hanney, on November 7 or 8. Ordered to take 18 months of alcohol treatment and pay £100 compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

DAVINDER GILL, 57, of Sinodun Road, Appleford, near Didcot, was convicted of not telling the Department of Work and Pensions that he had savings that would effect his entitlement to benefits between August 15, 2012, and August 17, 2015. Given a community order requiring rehabilitation and ordered to pay £500 costs and a £65 victim surcharge.

LESTER McCALLA, 39, of Hollow Way Road, Oxford, admitted entering 59 Owens Way, Cowley, on October 26, breaching a closure order made by Oxford Magistrates' Court under the Anti-social Behaviour Act. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

ANGELA MORAN, 34, of Oxford Road, Garsington, admitted entering 59 Owens Way, Cowley, on October 26, breaching a closure order made by Oxford Magistrates' Court under the Anti-social Behaviour Act. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge for stealing £106.29 worth of food from Cowley Road Tesco on May 9. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

GARY ROWLEY, 47, of Palmer Road, Wood Farm, admitted entering 59 Owens Way, Cowley, on October 26, breaching a closure order made by Oxford Magistrates' Court under the Anti-social Behaviour Act. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

THOMAS DOUGLAS-GILBERT, 23, of Habourne Road, Didcot, admitted stealing a gold charm bracelet and a number of gold charms worth at least £252 from a man in Long Wittenham on March 2. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and a one-year supervision order requiring rehabilitation. Also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

STEVEN TANNER, 43, was convicted of fraud by false representation at BVS Motors in Bicester on August 28, 2016, by dishonestly creating a false record of sale to a Mr Forde, intending to cause loss to BVS Motors or expose the company to a risk of loss. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months 'because the offence was so serious' and because of previous convictions for similar offences. Also given a 12-month supervision period and ordered to pay £180 compensation.

ANDREW JAMES BEARDSLY, 45, of Cave Street, Oxford admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Cave Street, Oxford on October 27. He must pay compensation of £50 and court costs of £50.

JAK GODFREY, 30, of Luther Street, Oxford admitted causing criminal damage to a glass door worth up to £1000 at a Tesco Metro store in Magdalen Street, Oxford on October 29. He also admitted assaulting two men by beating them and assaulting a police officer at a Tesco Metro store in Magdalen Street, Oxford on October 29. He was sentenced to prison for one week and four weeks concurrent and must pay compensation of £50.

JEREMIAH JONES MKUCHU, 36, of Mill Street, Oxford admitted drink driving in Donnington Bridge, Oxford on October 29. Had 40mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He was fined £300 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

DUNCAN BELL, 33, of Chawley Lane, Cumnor admitted drink driving in Botley Road, Oxford on October 28. Had 76 mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeding the limit of 35mcg. He also admitted driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance in Botley Road, Oxford on October 28. He was fined £650 and £400 and must pay a victim surcharge of £65 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from driving for 40 months.
