MILD temperatures have scuppered chances of a white Christmas in Oxfordshire.
Unseasonable warmth could see Benson reach 11 degrees Celsius on Monday, with the rest of the county forecast highs of 10 degrees.
Oxford and several towns including Abingdon and Didcot have a 50 per cent chance of rain during the day, according to the Met Office.
After heavy snowfall during the second weekend of December, odds on a white Christmas in Oxfordshire were slashed.
On Boxing Day, the Met Office predicts highs in the county will dip back down to 6 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecaster, temperatures in December usually reach a maximum of between 7 and 9 degrees Celsius.
The maximum December temperature in Oxford was recorded on December 18, 2015, when a tropical airstream brought balmy highs of 15.9 degrees Celsius.
