A 52-YEAR-OLD man charged with a double murder has appeared at an Oxford court.

Raymond Morgan of Newland Road, Banbury was charged with two counts of murder at an address in Banbury in October.

The incident involved two allegations of murder at an address at Newland Road on October 1.

The two deceased men have been named as 39-year-old Adrian Fannon and 25-year-old Mark Pawley, and were said to have died from 'multiple' stab wounds at an address at Newland Road, Banbury.

Thames Valley Police previously said that both men were from the Banbury area.

Morgan spoke only to confirm his name as he appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

At the pre-trial hearing the case was adjourned at the request of the defence team until January 26.

His trial is expected to take place at the same court on March 5 and he is yet to enter a formal plea.

The trial is set to last between two and three weeks.

A Home Office post-mortem examination which was held following the deaths in October found that the cause of death for both men was given as multiple stab wounds.

Investigating officers at Thames Valley Police meanwhile had previously launched an appeal for witnesses or anyone who noticed unusual behaviour in the area at the time to come forward.
