TEMPERATURES plummeted to below freezing overnight as another cold morning greeted the county.
It was as cold as -2C in Benson, a notorious cold spot, in the early hours of the morning.
While Oxfordshire has avoided a warning for snow and ice - which is set to affect large parts of UK - temperatures are expected to stay below zero until around 10am.
The Met Office's 'feels like temperature' which takes into account wind and chill had Oxford at -5C at 7am and revealed it could remain around -2C and -3C all day.
The cold will continue tomorrow, with temperatures picking up slightly over the weekend, with highs of 6C in Oxford on Saturday and 8 on Sunday.
