MORE than 50 young people in Oxfordshire have been caught watching television without a licence after the law was changed last year.
New rules introduced in September 2016 meant that those who use the BBC's iPlayer service had to pay a licence for the first time.
TV licensing caught the young people, aged between 18 and 25, between September 2016 and August 2017.
They now face prosecution and fines of up to £1,000.
Some 33,684 young people were caught across the UK in the same period.
