A 52-year-old man will appear in crown court today charged with the double murder in Banbury.

Raymond Morgan, 52, of Newland Road, Banbury was charged with two counts of murder last night.

He appeared at Banbury Magistrates Court yesterday after two men were found dead in a house in Banbury on Sunday.

He will appear at Oxford Crown Court today.

Yesterday Thames Valley Police officially named the deceased as 39-year-old Adrian Fannon and 25-year-old Mark Pawley, and were said to have died from 'multiple' stab wounds.

The force said both men were from the 'Banbury area' and that their families had asked for their privacy to be respected.

A scene watch remains in place at a property in Newland Road, where their bodies were found, while officers continue to search for evidence.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was held yesterday and the cause of death for both men was given as multiple stab wounds.

Investigating officers have refreshed their appeal for witnesses or anyone who noticed unusual behaviour in the area.
