HOMELESS people squatting in an empty premises in Cowley Road, Oxford, have been served a court summons after a week in their new home.
Former members of the Open House movement entered the floors above Sainsbury’s and claimed squatters’ rights last Friday after being turfed out of a former restaurant in Summertown.
Neo, a homeless man and group organiser, said he expected the hearing at Oxford County Court would be early next week, adding: “I’m hoping we can buy some time."
