REGGAE DJ David Rodgian MBE has revealed how his dad helped him set up his first record stall at Blackbird Leys Sunday market.
Speaking to Radio 4's Saturday Live show this morning, Mr Rodigan recalled his early life growing up in his parents' home in Kidlington.
After studying drama at Rose Bruford in London and trying to get acting work, he revealed how he recruited his dad to help him run record stalls to bring in some extra cash.
The former Gosford Hill School pupil started his broadcasting career in 1978 on BBC Radio London and moved to Capital Radio in 1979.
He has just published his autobiography Rodigan - My Life in Reggae.
