IT BEGS the question: in our Brexit divorce deal, who gets the sunshine?

The day after Theresa May officially handed divorce papers to the European Union, Oxfordshire is today set to be hotter than some parts of the Mediterranean as our country 'drags' nice weather up from the Iberian peninsula.

Temperatures in the county are set to soar this afternoon to an unseasonable 19C - more than double the UK average for March of 8C.

That is going to make Oxfordshire hotter than Venice, Italy, and the same temperature as Barcelona, Spain.

The Met Office says the mini heat wave is down to warm air being 'dragged up' from Spain and Portugal.

The weather will stay balmy overnight with lows of 11 and 12, and return to normal somewhat tomorrow with an average temperature of 15 degrees expected.
