FUNDING for early years education in Oxfordshire next year has been approved.
At a meeting on Tuesday Oxfordshire County Councillor cabinet member for education Steve Harrod approved the new funding formula.
It applies to the existing 15 hour entitlement of childcare for three and four year olds and the extended 30 hour offer that is effective from September.
The formula includes an hourly rate of £4.01, a deprivation supplement of £200,000 and a special education needs inclusion fund of £600,000.
