THE owner of a West Oxfordshire restaurant named as one of the best in the country said she expects visitors from far and wide.
The Feathered Nest Country Inn in Nether Wescote was named by The Sunday Times as one of its top-100 British restaurants.
It was praised for combining ‘breathtaking views’ and ‘sensational food’.
Owner Amanda Timmer said: “We are thrilled.
“We expect to be extremely busy now, the phones will probably start ringing off the hook on Sunday.
“We had an article in The Times a couple of years ago and people still come off the back of that.
“Our head chef Kuba Winkowski does a fantastic job in the kitchen and he is always coming up with new ideas.”
Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Great Milton and the Old Parsonage in Oxford also made the list, which will be published tomorrow.
Ms Timmer said: “Our staff are brilliant, we have a great team who provide excellence and make everyone feel at home.”
