DOCTORS have called on women aged between 25 and 29 to get screened for cervical cancer.
As part of European Cervical Cancer Prevention week this week the NHS warned that more than 3,000 women are diagnosed with the disease each year.

Doctors said the majority have delayed coming forward for screening, which is intended for people without symptoms.
Figures showed that 27 per cent of women in Oxfordshire were not screened in 2014/15 –the most recent year figures are available for.
NHS England south region medical director Nigel Acheson said: “It is really important for young women to understand the importance of attending cervical screening.”
