MAGICAL creatures and wizardly attractions crowded the streets of Banbury yesterday as locals donned their best robes for the Old Town Summer Party.
The annual event saw hundreds converge on Butchers Row, Church Lane & Walk, Cornhill, Market Place, Parsons Street, St Mary's Church and White Lion Walk to celebrate the spectacular offering of local traders.
This year the area was transformed into Diagon Alley for the day, with wizards and muggles alike indulging in Harry Potter-themed mischief into the afternoon.
At the Rebel Hair salon spellbound visitors peered in wonder at a bubbling 'cauldron' set up for the day while grown-ups sampled Firewhisky and Butterbeer in a local pub.
The yearly Street Organ Festival also took place at the same time, with organ grinders in quaint traditional dress raising funds for the Banbury & District Samaritans.
