3. Traffic

Heavy congestion on the A40 and A44 heading into Oxford has been building up as usual due to roadworks on the Wolvercote and Cutteslowe roundabouts.

Parts of Abingdon Road also looking especially slow this morning.

Elsewhere temporary traffic lights are still in place in Cowley Road for water main works but this is due to end at some point today, potentially making the journey home a little easier for commuters this evening.

Evening showers with cloud dispersing and winds becoming light. Temperatures will fall to allow a frost to develop in some rural areas. Minimum Temperature 1 °C.

The Cotswold Wildlife Park's first ever armadillo babies, Amelia and Wallace, were born a few months ago. After they were abandoned by their own mother, primate and small mammal keeper Stacey Axman, 33, stepped in to hand-rear them herself.
