Thames Valley Police (TVP) has refused to reveal how many of its police officers and PSCOs have been convicted of offences, on account of costs.
In response to the Freedom of Information (FOI) request by the Press Association, TVP said the information was “not held in an easily retrievable format” and would require a manual search of all officers employed over three and half years. It also said that the force had more than 4,000 police officers the request would exceed the appropriate 18 hour time limit and £450 cost limit for FOIs. The request saw 25 of the 45 forces respond.
