Cyclist critically ill after collision with lorry on M40 near Wheatley
A CYCLIST is critically ill in hospital after colliding with a white Mercedes HGV on the M40.
The 23-year-old man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington after the incident, which happened between junctions 8 Wheatley and 7 Milton Common of the M40 southbound at about 3.50am yesterday.
Thames Valley Police said he suffered serious head injuries and remains in a critical but stable condition.
Investigating officer Sgt Beth Walton, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the cyclist and lorry before the collision. Any detail however small could assist with the investigation.”
