OXFORD: Parliamentary candidates for Oxford West and Abingdon will attend a Catholic Churches hustings event tonight.
The event will enable Catholic voters to put questions to candidates. The bishops of England and Wales have published an open letter to the faithful, part of which reads: “At this General Election, we are asked to think about the kind of society we want. Whom you vote for is a matter for you alone.”
The hustings runs from 7.30pm at the Oxford University Chaplaincy in Rose Place, off St Aldate’s. A similar event for Oxford East will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7.30pm.
