  • Leigh Halligan, 24, of Marlowe Close, Banbury, admitted stealing clothing and baby clothes worth a total of £89.50 from Asda Living in Templars Shopping Centre, Cowley, on October 9. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Susan McPherson, 45, of Usher Drive, Banbury, admitted stealing £89.50 worth of clothing and baby clothes with Leigh Halligan from Asda Living at Templars Shopping Centre, Cowley, on October 9. Given a community order requiring participation in a Thinking Ahead for Women programme for 10 days and given a 12-month supervision requirement. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  • Marrion Cobaretti, 41, of Field Avenue, Oxford, admitted criminally damaging a door lock at Lucy Faithfull House, Oxford, intending to destroy it or damage it on January 20. Also admitted committing an offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 1 for criminal damage and handling stolen goods. Fined £105 and ordered to pay £30 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • Kelly Francis, 37, of Badgers Walk, Oxford, admitted using a colour television receiver at home without a licence between December 30, 2011 and January 18 2012. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £60 costs.
  • Karl James, 40, of Caldecott Road, Abingdon, admitted stealing a Cadbury’s chocolate bar, a sachet of cheese sauce and a packet of nuts worth a total £5.73 from The Co-op, Bury Street, Abingdon, on December 8. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • John Way, 39, of Pearce Way, Thame, admitted possessing 27 grams of cannabis, a Class B drug, in Thame on August 12 and 4 grams of cannabis in Thame on October 28. Community Order made requiring six months of drug rehabilitation treatment. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Gemma Rees, 24, of Henry Taunt Close, Barton, admitted assaulting Police Constable Reeves in the execution of duty on December 28, and assaulting a civilian by beating him in Gloucester Green, Oxford, the same night. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to an 18-month conditional discharge made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court for criminal damage on November 20, 2013. Community Order made requiring alcohol dependency treatment for six months. Also ordered to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.
  • Lindsey Fowles, 30, of Kibble Close, Didcot, admitted stealing £29 worth of children’s clothing from Templars Shopping Park, Cowley, on December 17. Also admitted stealing £43 worth of children’s clothing from the same place on September 7, 2013. Given a community order requiring six months of drug rehabilitation treatment and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Sarah Slark, 35, of Pegasus Road, Oxford, admitted three counts of stealing a total of £1,075 from Homebase store in Horspath Driftway, Oxford, when she worked there between June 4 and November 16. Given a 12-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. She must comply with a 12-month supervision order and complete 100 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £1,075 in compensation and an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  • Andrew Ivison, 41, of HMP Bullingdon, Arncott, admitted causing criminal damage to a GPS tag worth £360 belonging to Thames Valley Police on January 25 at Abingdon Police Station. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Ou Wang, 50, of Woodstock Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a cashmere beanie worth £115 from a Brora store in Oxford on December 14. Also admitted stealing a flower stole worth £119 from the same store on January 8. Ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. Ordered to pay £100 in compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Laura Rapley, 20, of Massey Close, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a car in Oxford on May 15. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. Also ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.
  • Graham Rapley, 50, of Massey Close, Oxford, was convicted of racially aggravated common assault by beating in Oxford on May 15. Fined £445 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation. Also ordered to pay a £44 victims’ surcharge and £350 costs.
  • Mariusz Jozwaik, 35, of Bartholomew Road, Oxford, admitted beating a woman in Oxford between December 11 and December 14. Also admitted harassing her with threatening text messages in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, on December 20. Given a 12-month restraining order not to contact the victim or visit Court Close in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Fined a total of £385 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation. Also ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £29 and £85 in costs.
